Twelve Good Years As A Davian

Greetings everyone!
Long time no see :)  Confining my words to this, I would like to share the twelve years of my life. Have a look ...

*Twelve Good Years As A DAVIAN*
In class 1 ,we were tiny little tots
30 in number, planted in pretty pots
Undoubtedly our school bloomed us into beautiful angelic flowers ,
We do miss the time when we had plenty of playing hours.

The class recitations and annual functions of class 2 were always memorable for everyone,
I remember, after hearing the bell for dispersal and reciting the shaanti paath the way we used to run.

Then comes  the room next to the principal's office, 3rd Daisy
The most noisy class, energetic, cheerful , jovial and a bit casey.

Now, those tiny little tots grew up amd reached class four,
We had our class on the ground floor.
A bit mischievous and more obedient we grew,
Eager to switch from pencils to pens, we learnt certain life values.

Getting a pride pin was the honoured part of every year,
I miss the independence day songs being played in the school, which from a distance we could hear.
Celebrations of festivals was the best part of class 5,
We started learning Sanskrit for the first time.

The reminiscence of projects and model making in 6th Grade,
Makes me feel nostalgic while gazing at the picture with blue blazers on and two braids.

Then comes the year 2015, sparky seventh graders,
Zistful to pin up the badges on our blazers.
Elated, cheerful, notorious, talkative and dutiful,
Reaching school early for the assembly and giving a start to the mornings beautiful.

Bidding farewell to the constant companions was impenetrable ,
We held shuffling in disfavour and was unbearable .
But then gradually, those unknown individuals became best of friends,
Our laughter and fights formed a string of memories which had no ends.

Now,those sparky students made it to class 9,
Asking the teachers in repeated lectures to take us to the ground and play in bright sunshine.
Moving to the computer lab in a straight line,
Making HTML documents after knowing the coding was interestingly fine.

2018 was the year we were sitting in 10th grade,
Creating unforgettable memories which probably will never fade.
We wrote on the shirts with pens and markers in the class,
As it was the time for all of us to segregate into different paths.

Some of us opted for sciences, some for humanities and others for commerce,
Waiting for the recess and meeting all of them everyday was a must.
Class 11 taught us a lot of lessons and various meanings of stress and tension,
And that each physical quantity has a dimension.

Then comes the last year of my schooling , year 2020,
Every concept heard, learnt and practiced virtually .
Everyday the classes were being attended online,
We could not even go to to the school as to our homes we were confined .
We could not get a thrill of class 12 and the year just passed by,
Twelve good years spent with heavenly family and we could not even wave a goodbye.

Being a DAVIAN has always been and will always be a matter of pride,
In each and everyone of our hearts, DAV will always reside.

- Aabha Sharma

Nostalgic?
Make this reach out to every DAVIAN out there.

  7. Abha, really nostalgic. These days will never come back and who knows where the friends will embark upon new ventures and not meet you again. Not, of course, there sweet memories will stay there forever causing flitting smile on your face. And you too will set your foot on New destination. So departure is good. Enjoy it.
