Results, interviews, viva, questions, exams, stage performances and out of the common news you hear have one thing in common for a few people out there and that is ...?
Any guesses?
Good morning Readers! Hope you all are doing well. Let's begin with that 'common thing' among them -
It is the fear of facing such situations - Anxiety. Yes, today I am here to talk about this feeling (and not a disorder) some of us or maybe many of us might be facing and yet feel introverted to speak loud about it. Increased heartbeat, taking deep breaths, hyperventilation, eyes all swollen up, unable to speak, fumbling, restlessness, nervousness before any of the events mentioned above is what we face while we say - "I have anxiety". The fear of participating in the event is more frightening than actually being in the event. Isn't it?
So, talking to your peer groups on this topic may be bittersweet. Bittersweet as in it might even lend a helping hand to you or it may worsen up your feelings owing to the fact that a coin has two sides. Choose the people who choose you. Speak to that trustworthy and best friend of yours and you will surely feel the airiness. To the peers I'd say, avoid mocking upon such issues and be an aid to your dear friend. For a person with anxiety, a touch of shoe feels like kicking another person and then that continuous string of feeling guilty for hurting another one makes it worse.
Not only friends, any person at your home or workplace can be a companion too.
And if you feel uncomfortable sharing it with anyone, just write it down on a paper, crumble it and now that paper is of no use, so is your anxiety, throw both of them away :)
Meditation has been a constant remedy for the symptoms. Our thoughts have a major role to play. It's us who decide what goes in our mind and what not. Why should we allow our own intellect to go against us? Why do we feel the incapability of facing a situation without being nervous? Why do we question our own strength while facing obstacles? It is because we have accepted our weaknesses without even thinking of converting those weaknesses into strengths. It is good to flaunt your flaws until and unless those flaws turn against you. Go easy on yourself. Relax.
Obviously, anxiety cannot be eradicated with the light's speed. It will take time but it will surely shrink with its own pace and ultimately evaporate. So, take a deep breath and calm down. Don't let your thoughts turn against you !
Have a good day people !
:)
